We are having a load (no pun intended) of trouble with constipation. Since starting the solids 3 weeks ago it has gotten worse as time has gone by, to the point where I had to use a glycerin suppository yesterday. We are going through prunes like nobody’s business! The ped tells me it will get better as her body adjusts to digesting solids…I sure hope it happens quick!
I’ve been terribly negligent with this blog and am going to put forth a massive effort to keep current. My little peanut is now a hefty 16 lbs! She sits up by herself and started eating solids 2 weeks ago. Her development is falling somewhere in between her real age (8 months) and her adjusted age (5 months). She babbles a lot and her favorite sound is “mamamama” which just melts my heart. She and Paityn have become fast friends and no one can make her smile and laugh the way her sister does. I call on Paityn a lot to cheer Kaitlyn up when she’s upset, which they both love. I am starting a new job in July that will allow me to work 3 days a week which I can’t wait for. Also, have decided to homeschool Paityn come the fall, and she is now in dance and softball. Whew! Was that enough of an update? I’m exhausted just writing about it! 🙂
My baby girl is 8 lbs today, another milestone! We had her 4 month checkup this week and the doctor noted she had started to fall off the growth chart, so I have started giving her a couple bottles of breastmilk daily in addition to nursing. Not only has her weight picked up but she has been less fussy! Paityn had her 4 year checkup as well and she is doing great. She is kind of small (25th percentile in weight and height) but the doctor said that’s fine. Funny since as a baby she was in the 90th percentile for height!
Christmas shopping is all done and the wait has begun in ernest. Paityn is so excited she doesn’t know what to do with herself. Just a few more days! 🙂
My lil munchkin is 7 lbs 8 oz and doing great! She has outgrown her preemie clothes and even wearing 0-3 mos now. She does continue to have tummy trouble so I started giving her Colic Calm which is an homeopathic medication and it has worked wonders! So much so that I no longer have to give her the Axid for reflux, woot! She is a breastfeeding champ and we no longer have to use any bottles. I am overwhelmed each day by how very blessed we are and continue to thank God every day for this great miracle. 🙂
