Grrrr I spent 20 minutes writing a post and it crashed on me!!!! Short version of my previous story: pulmonologist visit went well – 99% sats in his office. We have to use the apnea monitor for one week then we are officially done! Woot!
Kaitlyn finally reached 7 lbs today! She is now also officially past her due date! She is doing great with the exception of still struggling with tummy issues, a lot of gas and reflux. She’s such a little trooper!
We finished our Christmas decorations today and it looks great! Zane braved the cold and rain to get the lights up. Now off to watch Rudolph! 🙂
Kaitlyn’s official due date is tomorrow! Today she weighed 6 lbs 15 oz…come on one more ounce! We are still battling this cold and I have confirmed that bulb nose aspirators are pointless. I gave in and bought a $17 “snot sucker” at my local boutique that has had great reviews, so here’s hoping. A snotty baby is no fun. 😦
We had a great Thanksgiving! My mom, father-in-law, Zane and the girls all gathered to be thankful and share a wonderful meal at our house. It’s dad’s first holiday living near us; he moved from FL into his new house 15 minutes from us last month, and it was so nice that he didn’t have to worry about the tedious drive at the end of the day! After eating we put up the Christmas decorations and Paityn has already gotten a stool and tried to look into her empty stocking. 🙂
Kaitlyn is doing great and now weighs 6 lbs 14 oz. Her actual due date is this Sunday (2 more days) so I am hoping she’ll make 7 lbs by then! She has been struggling with a little cold for the past few days (Paityn has been sick for a week) but so far no fever or difficulty breathing – but I am keeping a close eye on it. She’s such a strong girl. It’s virtually impossible to keep Paityn away from her so I am just doing the best I can.
I am so unspeakably grateful to God for my beautiful, smart and loving Paityn and my 3 month old miracle…and I will keep being grateful every single day for the rest of my life. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Paityn’s party was a hit! We had a petting zoo, a bouncy house, and played games and the kids loved it. Here are a few pics of the day.
Yesterday Kaitlyn was 39 weeks; next Sunday she will finally be at her due date! Today she weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and is doing great. She has been off her oxygen for 10 days now with no problems. She is also a wonderful sleeper! Paityn never slept for more than an hour at a time as a baby, so Kaitlyn sleeping for 5 hours at a stretch is the most amazing thing to me. She is such a peaceful little thing which is amazing considering how she started her life! 🙂
Kaitlyn is 3 months old today! It’s so hard to believe that she was not even due to be here for another week. She is now 6 lbs 10 oz and seems like such a big girl. We had her eye doctor appointment today and good news–completely normal eyes!!! God has been so good to us, we have so much to celebrate this Thanksgiving. Thank you Lord for all your blessings!
The last two nights Kaitlyn has rolled from her back to her stomach. The first night I thought it was a fluke but she did it again last night! I am so proud of her.
Today we went to Target and Paityn got a baby doll she named Karen. She has bathed her, changed her diaper and clothes, burped her and even sat beside me while I was nursing Kaitlyn and nursed her baby. So cute!
Tonight was interesting. My mom was over and we were playing cards when the tornado sirens went off. I checked the weather and we spent the next 30 minutes in the closet waiting for the warning to clear. *sigh* What a day.
